Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic, technical professional who will be responsible for the technical selling and support of Siemens EDA's leading-edge functional verification solutions. As a Functional Verification Application Engineer, you will: work with account managers to determine the sales execution strategy, identify and qualify engagements based on customers' needs and business opportunities, define evaluations and benchmark criteria, execute relevant technical campaigns to meet established goals considering customers' production flows, and provide best-in-class support. You will ensure both the customers' success and the broader use of Siemens EDA's functional verification solutions.
Work location is based in the Southern California Area with as much as 25% travel.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide technical leadership on all aspects of sales campaigns. Contribute and execute pre-sales and post-sales account strategies as a member of the sales team.
Qualify the technical viability of sales opportunities and communicate them to the sales team.
Influence marketing and product groups to meet customers’ needs and shape product direction.
Lead technical presentations, demonstrations, evaluations, and benchmarks.
Effectively position Siemens EDA products and solutions to shape sales strategy.
Effectively communicate the value proposition of Siemens EDA solutions to customers.
Develop and maintain ongoing positive relationships with customers.
Work collaboratively with team members to ensure mutual success.
Job Qualifications:
The successful candidate will possess the following combination of education and experience:
BS degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar field is required.
Must have 5+ years of experience in the EDA or semiconductor fields focusing on functional verification. MS preferred.
Working knowledge in the areas of SystemVerilog, UVM, and SystemVerilog Assertions is required.
A strong understanding of ASIC and FPGA design and functional verification flows is required.
Strong knowledge of functional-level functional verification methodologies is essential.
Experience with emulation methodology, static verification, and/or formal verification is a plus.
Good presentation and communication skills are essential.
Must be self-motivated and self-disciplined.
Applications Engineering experience is a plus.
This position will be located in either the San Diego or Irvine, California areas and will require immediate relocation if the candidate does not reside in one of those areas.
This position will be subject to U.S. export control requirements under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Employment is contingent on either verifying the U.S. Person status or obtaining any necessary export license.

The total cash compensation range for this position is $116,100 to $232,200 with 20% of this being comprised of an annual incentive target. Required Skills & Experience
- Experience in working on high performance C#/C++ application software
- Experience with .NET 6 library for cross platform (Windows & Linux) applications
- Application deployment technologies for Linux targets
-Familiarity with 100GbE Ethernet and networking stacks
-MS in Computer Science ,Electrical Engineering, or related engineering discipline
-Demonstrated development experience with large enterprise applications
Self-starter.
-Willing and able to quickly learn new applications and technologies.
-Ability to travel 15% of the time to customer sites
Desired Skills & Experience
- Experience with gRPC
- Familiarity with RDMA
- Familiarity with digital signal processing
- Experience with hardware accelerators (e.g. GPUs, SIMD optimization, FPGAs )

DescriptionAs a FPGA Design Engineer in product R&D, you will play a key role in defining and developing Signal Source products and you will have the opportunity to directly contribute to the success of Keysight. You will work with engineers from diverse areas of expertise to create complete solutions for our customers. The product R&D team is made up of electrical, mechanical, FPGA, firmware, and software engineers, who all work together with our planning and marketing departments to transform designs into final products.
In this position you will be designing low level hardware control via FPGA programming and module design. You will work with simulation tools and design tools to implement your ideas, then test and troubleshoot them on hardware using state of the art test and measurement equipment. As the leader in test and measurement, all our designs leverage cutting edge technology to make the best possible products for our customers.
Note: Santa Rosa, CA is the preferred work location for this job.
For locations hired outside of Santa Rosa there will be travel required to Santa Rosa CA for training and collaboration through project lifecycles.
Primary job responsibilities include:
- Develop, design, simulate, measure, and troubleshoot digital logic and FPGA hardware and software.
- Designs may include interface logic for control, high speed serial busses (PCIe, Aurora, Ethernet), power and control circuits.
- Accomplish design goals through simulation and testing.
- Develop test benches for own designs.
- Assist in instrument architecture decisions with other engineers to select vendors and components and troubleshoot and fix problems.
- Define the DSP architectures of an FPGA or digital ASIC.
- Design sophisticated functions and algorithms in the industry highest end FPGAs.
- Close collaboration with hardware and firmware design engineers.
- Document designs including the design goals, the core concepts of the design, the theory of operation, the details of the design, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Solve design problems found in prototypes, pilot units, and production units.
- Collaboration with other functional areas such as marketing and manufacturing.
- Support the transition of the design to full production and delivery.
Qualifications:
- BS, MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience of demonstrated experience in in coding, synthesizing and simulating Verilog and/or VHDL RTL implementations in FPGA .
- HDL programming (VHDL/Verilog/System Verilog).
- Understand FPGA tool Flow (Xilinx Vivado Tools).
- Software programming experience (C/C++/C#/Java/Python/Perl/Tcl).
- An understanding of Analog, RF/uW, and Mixed signal circuit design and power supply distribution concepts is a plus.
- Measurement experience in one or more of the following areas: signal analyzers, signal
generators, I/Q modulation and demodulation, phase noise measurements, and vector network analysis.
- Background in hands-on debug and validation experience in a lab environment.
- Ability to effectively communicate ideas and concepts, both written and verbally.
- Commitment to excellence and dedication to quality.
- Team player with strong self-motivation and collaboration skills.
- Willingness to expand skill set.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple and sometimes conflicting priorities.
