Design Data Browser (DDB) A High-Performance Interactive Environment for Timing Triage
DescriptionIn this presentation, we are very pleased to introduce the IBM Design Data Browser (DDB for short). DDB is powerful high-performance X-windows based application which serves as a central cockpit uniting our core timing and physical database, known as DD, as well as our web-based interactive timing triage environments TimingVisualizer and Timing Takedown Dashboard (these were presented at prior DAC engineering track sessions). In our presentation, we will illustrate how DDB helps address key challenges in microprocessor design timing take-down by linking together both physical and simulation (timing) data in an intuitive visual interface which works seamlessly across the hierarchy (i.e., enabling integration of results from potentially up to hundreds of independent timing and physical synthesis runs in to a unified cockpit for design exploration).
