Edge - AI and Security
DescriptionThis session will discuss the advancements in Edge AI and the challenges of developing high-performance, low-latency systems that can handle advanced models, and provide increased flexibility and methods to protect Model IP. Additionally, we will delve into the subject of secure and efficient updates and control in the field for Edge Devices, as well as the concept of a device lifecycle to facilitate manufacturing, deployment, and management. The session will examine this topic from multiple perspectives, including device user, OEM/device provider, and silicon provider. However, security and memory corruption vulnerabilities have been extensively studied but lack universal mitigation strategies for deeply embedded and functional-safety-relevant systems. We will explore binary translation – a practical software technique to protect embedded systems.
