Orchestrating Measurement-Based Quantum Computation over Photonic Quantum Processors
DescriptionMost of the quantum computing research has been conducted on the circuit-model quantum computer, e.g., the IBM super-conducting quantum computer. An alternative but equivalent model that is especially relevant to photonic quantum computers is measurement-based quantum computing (MBQC). It relies on generating highly entangled resource states called cluster states. However, little attention has been paid to the compilation of MBQC on photonic quantum devices. We propose a compiler framework and a redundant removal approach to efficiently map the quantum circuits on a photonic cluster state. The results show that our compiler framework significantly reduces the total number of physical quits.
