ABC-DE : ABC Design Explorer For LUT-based Synthesis
DescriptionWe present a new engine named "ABC-DE", using logic synthesizer "ABC" by developing parallel exploration of dynamic built synthesis scripts. This exploration relies on some smart techniques (dynamic and AI-based) in order to have a very efficient space cover to get excellent LUT mapping solutions. It helps to significantly improve QoR both in terms of LUT utilization and logic level reduction. We validated our approach through the EPFL competition by delivering 37 best benchmarks out of 46, something never reached since competition started in 2015. We embedded "ABC-DE" engine in a commercial-tool giving 12% Lut utilization reduction versus competition.
